Markham (Mar 14) – York police release surveillance video footage of a shooting at a Markham home during the afternoon. Investigations are urging witnesses to come forward.
On Friday, March 8 at around 3 p.m., police responded to a residence on Solace Road for the sounds of gunshots. When they arrived in the area, they located a home that had been struck by multiple bullets. There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
Investigators said that a similar occurrence took place at the residence on Wednesday, February 28 where suspects are still being sought.
In this particular incident, video surveillance from the area showed a white, four-door sedan enter the area and park on a nearby street. A suspect was seen approaching on foot and discharging a firearm at the targeted residence. The suspect returned to the suspect vehicle and left the area.
Police are reminding area residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
The suspect is described as a tall, dark-skinned male of thin build wearing a hooded jacket, black jogging pants and black face mask.

The suspect vehicle is a four-door sedan with dark windows and silver-spoked rims.
The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are appealing for witnesses to come forward who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and have not yet spoken to police. Police are also seeking any video surveillance from the area or anyone who may have captured dashcam video on the roadways.
