Ottawa (Jan 31) – The federal Conservative Party is continuing to shatter fundraising records under Pierre Poilievre.
In a statement to CanIndia News, the party claimed that it raised the highest amount in Canadian history last year and believes that its a sign the country wants change.
Spokesperson Sarah Fischer stated that in Pierre Poilievre’s first full year as leader, “the Conservative Party broke all fundraising records for any political party in Canadian history bringing in a record $35.2 million in 2023”.
“It couldn’t be more clear that Canadians want change,” Fischer added. “The unprecedented momentum of the Conservative Leader and his common sense message broke another record bringing in $11.9 million in Q4. In December alone, the Party raised $7.08 million.”
The most any party has received previously in a non-election year is $24.2 million, which was the Conservatives in 2018, according to the party statement.
“These results prove support for my common sense plan to axe the tax, build the homes, fix the budget and stop the crime,” said Pierre Poilievre.
