Toronto police is making the public aware that there will be numerous traffic diversions and road closures for the Annual Toronto & York Region Labour Day Parade on Monday, September 4.
The parade will depart at 9:30 a.m., from the corner of University Avenue and Queen Street West. It continues west on Queen Street West to south on Dufferin Street. Participants, on foot, will be dispersed into Exhibition Place Grounds – Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) entrance. Parade floats and other vehicles will disperse on Liberty Street, with some accessibility vehicles dispersing on Springhurst Avenue.
Road closures will begin in and around the formation area at 7 a.m., and continue along the route commencing at 9 a.m.
The public is being asked not to park within the parade route after 7 a.m.
Traffic diversions and delays can be expected in the area commencing at 9 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m. Motorists are advised to keep this information in mind when making travel plans.
The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) will also have numerous diversions during the parade.
It is recommended that spectators use public transit to attend this event.
