A Mississauga man in his late 20s has been charged in relation to a sex trafficking investigation of an underage female in Peel Region.
Police say investigators received information in February identifying a male who had forced the victim into the sex trade between 2016 – 2018. The accused allegedly procured the victim, forcing her to perform sexual services throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and exercised control over aspects of the victim’s life and profited financially from it.
On July 1, the accused was arrested in Mississauga on an outstanding Canada-wide arrest warrant.
Guled Yusuf, 29, faces numerous charges including Trafficking in Persons Under the Age of 18 and Material Benefit from Sexual Services Provided by Persons Under 18 years.
