Mississauga camp counselor arrested for filming 6-year-old in washroom, there may be more victims police say

Peel police have arrested and charged a 26-year-old man from Mississauga for allegedly possessing child pornography and voyeurism.

Between December 2022 and July 2023, it was reported that while at MC Day Camp in the area of Lakeshore Road East and Hurontario Street in Mississauga, a 6-year-old youth, was filmed in a washroom facility by a Camp Counselor.

Alexander Clarke was arrested on Wednesday, August 2 and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. He has been a camp counsellor volunteer at the MC Day Camp since June 2018.

In addition, upon execution of a Criminal Code search warrant, it became evident to investigators that there may be other victims.

The investigation is currently ongoing and anyone who has had contact with Alexander Clarke concerning this investigation is asked to contact investigators with the Internet Child Exploitation Unit at 905-453-2121 ext. 3490.
