A Mississauga man has been arrested in a ‘stranger sexual assault’ case and police say he is also being investigated in other parts of Ontario and British Columbia.

Peel police said that a woman reported being approached by a man who made unwanted sexual advances towards her at a restaurant in Mississauga’s Meadowvale Town Center on Tuesday, September 12, at around 4 p.m.. The accused continued his advances until restaurant staff intervened. Fortunately, the woman was not physically injured. The accused was subsequently issued a trespass notice banning him from attending Meadowvale Town Center for one year.

Two hours later, at around 6 p.m., the accused reportedly returned to the area, entered a restaurant and allegedly tried to steal a bottle of alcohol. When asked to leave, a confrontation ensued, and two female employees were assaulted. Fortunately, they sustained no physical injuries.

Police quickly located the man and took him into custody. Oloruntimilehin Ojeikere, of no fixed address, was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.

Investigators have since linked 21-year-old Ojeikere to other incidents in the area, which were reported as suspicious persons. There were no assaults alleged during those incidents.

Ojeikere has been linked as a suspect in similar investigations from police services in British Columbia and Ontario.

Investigators believe there may be other victims/incidents involving Ojeikere and are appealing to anyone with information to please contact the 11 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 905-453-3311, extension 1133. Information may also be left anonymously by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) or visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
