Premier Doug Ford’s office confirmed that another cabinet minister has resigned from office after the Greenbelt land development probe.

Kaleed Rasheed who held the public and business service delivery portfolio is the second minister to resign this month. The Mississauga East-Cooksville MPP, who has also resigned from the Progressive Conservative causcus, will sit as an independent.

Earlier today news broke that Rasheed and Amin Massoudi, a former aide to the Premier, got massages at a Las Vegas hotel the same time as a developer who’s land was later removed from the Greenbelt. Ontario’s integrity commissioner was exploring possibilities whether Shakir Rehmatullah was tipped off.

“A new Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery will be named in the coming days,” the Premier’s Office said.

However he (Kaleed) would be “provided an opportunity to return to caucus,” if the integrity commissioner cleared him the statement added.
