The City of Mississauga will host a one-day job fair at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre on Tuesday from 2 pm to 5 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm.
Live interviews for Ushers and Box Office Assistant positions will be done on-site and successful candidates will be hired on-the-spot, City officials said in a news release.
Attendees must bring a copy of their resume and references with them to the job fair. Registration is required upon entry and interested candidates are encouraged to visit the City’s employment webpage to learn more.
Candidates, who are interested in the Usher position, must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays at various large-scale events. They should be outgoing, friendly, work well in a team environment and willing to enforce various facility rules and policies.
Candidates who are interested in the Box Office Assistant position, must be willing to work evenings, weekends, holidays and possible various Box Offices within the City of Mississauga. The box office is a fast paced work environment, where Candidates will be required to work various large-scale events and be part of a team whose goal is to provide exceptional customer service, answer box office inquires, and be willing to enforce ticketing rules and polices.
Job seekers must be a minimum age of 16 years or older as of September 2023. The anticipated start date is September for the Usher position and Mid August for the Box Office Assistant position.
