Bollywood singer and UK bhangra music star to perform at 2-day South Asian festival in Brampton

Vibrant Brampton is bringing two days of South Asian music and fun to Garden Square. The free festival on July 21 and 22 showcases international and local talents, interactive family activities, delicious array of food, dynamic dances representing South Asia.

Bollywood singer Aaman Trikha, UK bhangra star Jassi Sidhu and Pakistani Punjabi pop heartthrob Falak Shabir will headline the show along with several local artists.

Aaman Trikha has several hit Bollywood songs, including chartbusters like Prem Lila featuring Salman Khan, and Hookah Bar featuring Akshay Kumar. His big entry into Bollywood with the song Go Go Govinda from Oh My God! continued with over 200 songs in Bollywood movies for superstars like Amitabh Bachchan , Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan , Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn , Varun Dhawan, etc.

Jassi Sidhu (‘Bend It Like Beckham’ and ‘Breakaway’) has always been a pioneer in the Punjabi music industry. His hits like Veerji Vyon Chaleya and Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui are well known, garnering millions of views worldwide.

Pakistani Punjabi pop star Falak Shabir is best known for his hit Solo tracks Ijazat, Tu Mera Dil, Yaar Mila de, Rog, Soniye, Rabba Ho. Falak made his Bollywood debut with the song Saajna from the film, I Me Aur Main. He, went on to sing many Bollywood songs, like Kya Tujhe Ab Ye Dil Bataye from the film Sanam Re, Mera Mann Kehne Laga from the film Nautanki Saala and Kaisi Ye Judai Hai from the film I Love NY.

July 21 pm: Aaman Trikha and over 50 other artists perform live at the FREE Outdoor Festival @Garden Square Brampton. Enjoy sumptuous food, explore downtown Brampton and shop local

July 22 pm: Jassi Sidhu, Falak Shabir and several other Canadian artists perform live at the FREE Outdoor Festival @Garden Square Brampton. Enjoy sumptuous food, ethnic shopping, explore downtown Brampton and support local businesses.

The festival is organized by the Arts & Culture Initiative of South Asia (ACISA) and presented by TD Bank.
