Baby among 3 people found dead in Richmond Hill home in suspected case of intimate partner violence

Richmond Hill (Feb 8) – The York police homicide unit released the ages of three people who were found deceased inside a Richmond Hill home last week, one of whom was an infant. Investigators believe this incident is a case of intimate partner violence.

On Thursday, February 1 at around 4:15 pm, officers responded to a check welfare call at a residence in the area of Yonge Street and Carville Road. When they arrived on scene, they found three people deceased inside.

The deceased have been identified as a 41-year-old male, a 36-year-old female and a five-month-old infant.

At the request of the families, the names of the deceased will not be released. Although post-mortem examinations have been completed, police are not be releasing the causes of death at this time.

Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to investigators are urged to come forward.
