Brampton is now accepting applications for an entrepreneur training and funding opportunity through the Starter Company Plus Program.

With funding from Ontario’s Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, this program is offered through the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre (BEC) to propel local entrepreneurs forward as they grow, expand their business.

Through the Starter Company Plus Program, each participant will receive free training, mentoring and grant opportunities of up to $5,000 to start, expand or buy a small business. Since 2014, the program has provided approximately $1 million in grants to over 175 businesses in Brampton.

All eligible entrepreneurs are invited to apply for the Starter Company Plus Program and are required to attend a mandatory virtual information session. Attendance at the information session does not guarantee acceptance into the program or the receipt of a program grant.

Registration is required for either of the mandatory virtual information sessions to be held on Wednesday, August 23, 1 pm to 3 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm.
