Brampton woman charged after 2 toddlers suffered serious injuries at a home daycare

Brampton (Feb 13) Peel police’s Special Victims Unit has charged a caregiver in relation to two incidents at a home daycare in Brampton. Investigators believe there may be additional victims and asking them to come forward.

Last September 20, a 2-year-old boy suffered a serious injury while at a home daycare in Brampton, police said in a news release.

Investigators also learned of a previous incident that occurred in March 2020, where a 3-year-old female victim suffered a serious injury while at the home daycare.

On January 16, police arrested and charged Chereen Zeidan, a 44-year-old female from Brampton, with allegedly committing two counts of Criminal Negligence Causing Bodily Harm.

This investigation remains ongoing.
