Brampton (Feb 2) – A man has been charged with five commercial break and enter incidents in the Region of Peel.

Between March and August 2023, Peel police investigated multiple break-and-enter incidents across the region. Three locations were at places of worship where the suspect was seen on surveillance footage breaking into temples and taking money from donation boxes. Two other incidents involved the same male breaking into other commercial locations and stealing money.

Following a lengthy and coordinated investigation with other police agencies across the Greater Toronto Area, Police identified 41-year-old Jagdish Pandher of Brampton as the suspect.

Jadish, already in custody for similar offences, has been charged with five counts of Break and Enter under the Criminal Code of Canada.

Although some of these offences occurred at places of worship, Investigators are confident that these were crimes of opportunity to steal cash and not motivated by hate.
