Vaughan (Jan 9) – York police has charged four people from Brampton after a loaded gun was seized following a disturbance call in a Vaghan restaurant parking lot this weekend.

On Sunday, January 7 at around 2 a.m., police responded to a fight involving five to 10 individuals outside a restaurant in the area of Windflower Gate and Nova Star Drive. When officers arrived on scene, most had already left in different vehicles. However, police learned that the three male and one female occupants of a white BMW were in possession of a firearm. Officers stopped the vehicle and located a loaded firearm.

Hasanpreet Singh (26), Amit Kapoor (37), Prince Singh (22) and Harpreet Kaur (35) — all from Brampton — have been charged. While the three males were charged with possession of a firearm, Kaur was held for obstructing a peace officer.
