Physiotherapist charged with sexual assault in Richmond Hill, police say there may be more victims

York police have charged a 53-year-old man in connection with a sexual assault that occurred at a physiotherapy clinic in Richmond Hill last week.

On Monday, October 23, investigators received information that a victim was sexually assaulted during a physiotherapy visit at a clinic in the area of Yonge Street and Centre Street, police said in a news release.

On October 30, 53-year-old Iraj Daneshvar was charged with sexual assault causing bodily harm.

Investigators believe there may be more victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

A sexual assault includes any non-consensual contact of a sexual nature. There is no statute of limitations for sexual offences and offenders can be prosecuted well after the date of the offence.
