Premier Doug Ford shuffles cabinet after labour minister resigns

Today, Premier Doug Ford announced changes to his Cabinet shortly after Monte McNaughton resigned in favour of a private sector job.

The cabinet changes were announced in a statement from the Premier’s office.

David Piccini has been named Ontario’s new Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development. He takes over from McNaughton who stated that his decision was not influenced by the Greenbelt controversy.

Todd McCarthy becomes Minister of Public and Business Service Delivery. He takes over from Kaleed Rashid who left cabinet and the PC caucus to sit as an independant MPP on Wednesday.

Andrea Khanjin is Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, a portfolio that was previously held by Piccini.

Vijay Thanigasalam takes over McCarthy previous role as Associate Minister of Transportation.
