Richmond Hill (Feb 6) – York police’s homicide unit was called in after two people were found deceased inside a Richmond Hill home.
On Monday, February 5 at around 11:30 a.m., police responded to a check welfare call at a residence in the area of North Lake Road and Bayview Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, they found two people deceased inside the home.
The incident appears to be isolated and investigators do not believe there is any threat to public safety.
Investigators are working with the Office of the Chief Coroner to determine cause of death. Post-mortem examinations will take place in the coming days.
Witnesses who have not yet spoken to investigators are urged to come forward.
