DEHRADUN
A day after the Uttarakhand government recommended a CBI probe into the disappearance of Guru Shankar Dev Singh, the teacher of Baba Ramdev,
the yoga guru on Saturday welcomed the move but said, he believes the probe would not be impartial.
Guru Shankar Dev Singh, an ayurveda expert, has been missing since 2007.
Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh had last month raised the issue, saying something was wrong in the matter.
An angry looking Ramdev said he had not done anything wrong and was not afraid of any probe. He said the probe should not only confine to this issue, but also cover all allegations against him.
He asked the government to form a panel to conduct the probe.
Ramdev rubbished the allegations that he had a fight with his guru.
Congress members have been hinting at complicity between the yoga guru and his associate Acharya Balkrishna in the disappearance of Shankar Dev Singh.
Ramdev had however accused Digvijaya Singh of “stooping too low”.
He said the police had tried to find his guru but were unable to trace him.
Baba Ramdev has been heading the Patanjali Trust since Shankar Dev Singh’s disappearance.
